About this product
The Nike VRS Junior 5-Piece Golf Set is a right-handed set for young golfers, including a 4-hybrid, 7-iron, 8-iron, 9-iron, sand wedge, and putter. It features graphite shafts and youth flex. The set is designed for unisex kids and comes in a red color. The item length is 39.5 inches. This set is notable for including a hybrid, which is easier to hit than long irons, but it does not include a driver.
Our take
This set is a smart choice for a junior golfer who struggles with long irons, as the 4-hybrid replaces the harder-to-hit 4-iron. The inclusion of 7, 8, 9 irons and a sand wedge covers the essential scoring clubs. The putter completes the set for the green. The graphite shafts are lightweight, and the youth flex is appropriate. However, the lack of a driver means the young golfer will need to purchase one separately, which could be an additional cost. The set is priced reasonably for the clubs included, but the missing driver is a notable trade-off.
